Pakistani actress Meera made many big revelations about actress Alia Bhatt’s husband Mahesh Bhatt. Meera lashed out at Bhatt, accusing him of self-exploitation. Meera said that it was because of Mahesh Bhatt that she had to leave Bollywood. In an interview given to an English newspaper in Karachi, the Pakistani actress said that Mahesh Bhatt did not want me to work with any director other than him. It was Mahesh Bhatt because of whom he had to leave Bollywood and when he tried to make a comeback, all avenues were closed for him.
Journey of Bollywood was not easy – Meera
Meera said, “Working with Bollywood was a great experience. I got a lot of love from the Indian audience but the journey to Bollywood was not easy for me. There were many difficulties but I did not give up. In the early days Bollywood was completely new to me. I didn’t know anyone in Mumbai except Mahesh Bhatt. It took a long time to get to know people. Mahesh Bhatt introduced me to the industry. I used to respect Mahesh ji a lot. He was my mentor and mentor. I will also give the credit of my success to him.
When Mahesh Bhatt slapped Meera
Further in the interview, Meera told that when she entered the cinema world with the film Nazar, I got offers from many famous directors like Ram Gopal Varma, Mani Ratnam, Subhash Ghai. They wanted to work with me but Mahesh Bhatt did not want it. Mahesh Bhatt wanted me to work only with him. Further, Meera told that one night when I met Subhash Ghai and I told this to Mahesh ji, I was filled with anger and shouted at me and slapped me 2-3 times.

Meera also opened the pole of Mahesh Bhatt and said that I could not understand why he used to talk very strange things with me. Sometimes you used to tell me that you are like worship to me. I do not make any difference between you and Pooja, but the very next moment he used to tell me that I love you a lot and you are very special for me. It was very difficult for me to understand what they wanted from me.
All roads closed for return – Meera
Explaining the reason behind leaving Bollywood, Meera said that once we had a lot of fight, she apologized to me. After this he told me that I cannot handle your problems anymore. It would be better if you go back to Pakistan. Meera said that then I went back but when I thought of coming back, they blocked all the ways for me to come back. I was very upset and used to tell myself what was my fault in all this. Although I still do not understand Mahesh ji.
