It’s a new year, and already the baby fever is hot. Stars of all sorts are announcing pregnancies and we couldn’t be more excited. For some celebs, motherhood is a first. For others, a familiar journey. Either way, we’re thrilled for these VIP families.
One celebrity couple who’s having another kid is Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy, seen here in May 2022 at the premiere of Downton Abbey: A New Era. The Homeland actress, 43, and hubby confirmed the news to People on Jan. 9, 2023. They are already parents of two. The news came ahead of her appearance at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10, 2023.

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder, here in Jan. 2020, shared news they were welcoming a second child on Jan. 9, 2023. The 43-year-old actress revealed her growing bump in an Instagram photo where she held their child Bodhi, 5, in front of a green expanse.
In the accompanying caption, the Twilight star shared, “2023 celebrating life. Years of dreaming, manifesting and praying over this very moment. So much love. What a gift.”
The private talent went on, saying “As all of you know, I have very strong boundaries with social media, especially when it comes to children and what I choose to put out into the world. Thank you so much for honoring that, and for sending positivity and kindness and LOVE. Some things are too good not to share.” Then, she credited love Ian for the photo and for the “baby” as well.
Shemar Moore, seen here in 2019, and actress Jesiree Dizon, 39, announced they were welcoming a child on Jan. 9, 2023. The 52-year-old first-time dad revealed how he was making his late mother’s “dreams come true” by becoming a “daddy” in a promo for The Jennifer Hudson Show.
The star went on to say, “I’m so excited. I’m sorry [my mom] can’t be here. I was worried that maybe that ship had sailed. God had my back, and things lined up, and it’s going to be the best part [of my life] – my life is pretty grand, but I know when God calls my name, once I get this experience, I’ll be able to get to go to heaven whole.”
Brody Jenner and girlfriend Tia Blanco, seen here in Oct. 2022, started the New Year with a Jan. 1st pregnancy announcement. The couple posted their sonogram on Instagram and told followers, “To start off this new year, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of our friends, family and followers health, happiness & an abundance of love. We truly appreciate & love you all.
Brody, 39, and Tia, 25, who has been together for less than a year, went on with the big reveal “We are excited to share with you the blessing of a new life in the new year…Our little angel is on their way. Happy new year!” Friends like Heidi Montag and Avril Lavigne swooped in with congratulations.
Rapper Logic, here in 2019, and wife Brittney Noell revealed they were expanding their family on New Year’s Day 2023. They already have a son, Bobby, who was born in 2020.
He dropped the news in a freestyle called “No Pressure,” rapping, “I’m having a little baby. Surprise! It’s a little baby boy,” per Page Six.
Degrassi alum Lauren Collins, seen here at TIFF 2014, and husband Jonathan Malen’s family is getting bigger! Referencing her character Paige’s iconic line, the Canadian actress, 36, took to Instagram to post her bump and write, “New Year, New Look, New Baby. Coming Spring ‘23!!! #hunintheoven.” The couple already have a son named Charlie, born in 2020.
Jessie J., here in Jan. 2022, proudly announced she was expecting on Jan. 6, 2023. The “Domino” crooner, 34, posed a photo of her pregnancy test and a sonogram on Instagram, while telling fans, “I am so happy and terrified to finally share this.
The star, who had previously revealed she had a miscarriage in 2021, went on saying, “Please be gentle with me. Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.”
While she didn’t say who the father was, the singer has been linked to Chanan Colman since Apr. 2022. He is a Danish-Israeli pro basketball player.
