Thanks to Eater, we now have a better look at the menu for Toadstool Cafe, the fast-casual eatery within Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood!
Toadstool Cafe is the Hollywood counterpart to the original Kinopio’s Cafe at Universal Studios Japan, so named for the mushroom-headed Toad as he is called in Japanese. The menu shares a few similarities to that of Kinopio’s Cafe, but plenty of items were changed out to fit more American palates. One notable loss is the Princess Peach’s Cake, which replicated the iconic cake she baked in Super Mario 64 for Mario.
There’s a few carryovers from Japan, including the Piranha Plant Caprese, Yoshi’s Favorite Fruit & Veggie Salad, the Mario Burger, and the Fire Flower Spaghetti & Meatballs. New additions include the Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots, Super Star Chicken Salad, the Chef Toad Short Rib Special, and the updated Luigi Burger.
As we mentioned before, the Princess Peach’s Cake has been eliminated, but the ? Block Tiramisu and the Mt. Beanpole Cake have been retained with slight changes, alongside the Super Star Lemon Squash.
Returning to the menu is the Mario Burger, with an all-beef patty, bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese served on a brioche bun with a side of truffle French fries.
The Luigi burger has grilled chicken, basil pesto, Swiss cheese, and basil served on a brioche bun with a side of truffle French fries.
These are mini mushroom-shaped knots brushed with garlic butter, parmesan cheese, parsley, and a side of marinara sauce.
One of the new additions is this braised short rib with creamy herb polenta, sauteed mushrooms, and red wine demi.
Carrying over from Japan is the Piranha Plant Caprese, with roma tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, asparagus, and basil pesto served with mixed greens, shaved radishes, and apple vinaigrette.
Also carrying over from Japan is the ? Block Tiramisu, a “tiramisu-flavored mystery block” with a white chocolate Power-Up.
The new cupcake is all-pink and is a funfetti cupcake with buttercream frosting, glitter, and a Princess Peach chocolate crown.
A surprise carry from Japan, the honey lemon-flavored soda with mango stars and assorted tropical jellies is on the drink menu.
One of the new kids menu options has a cheeseburger, truffle fries, corn, broccoli, and a giant coin cookie.
