After taking vacations together and appearing on the Koffee With Karan couch along with each other, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are finally going to work together as co-actors. Sara made the announcement on her Instagram profile, with a photo of her and Janhvi.

Without divulging much, Sara wrote–or rather–rhymed, “From brewing koffee that was hot, now finally as ko-actors we shot Wait and watch us- tell us what you thought @janhvikapoor,” under her Instagram photo with Janhvi.
Janhvi responded to it by commenting, “It’s going to be a blast.”

The picture Sara posted featured her and Janhvi looking shocked and scared, holding each other like they’re watching a horror movie together.
It is currently unclear whether it is from an advertisement shoot, or a clip from a film they’re starring in with each other. But either way, we can’t wait to see them on-screen together!

While it was initially speculated that Janhvi would star in Dostana 2, it was unclear if Sara would join her for that film. Now, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Karan Johar revealed that he has signed Sara on for two projects. But, he did not share the titles.
So, we have to wonder if Sara and Janhvi’s friendship over Koffee will transform into a professional collaboration under the Dharma Productions banner.
As detailed during their Koffee With Karan episode, Sara and Janhvi had common friends for a long time and did interact with each other in 2015. But, during the pandemic, their friendship grew more, and the two even took trips with each other.

Refuting rumours of a rivalry, the two women refused to be pitted against each other and have continued to lift each other up on social media and in interviews, despite people’s attempts to compare them to each other.

Given how comfortable and friendly they are with each other, a film with the two will surely be a slap in the face of those who claim that actresses cannot get along with each other or do films with each other.
Isn’t such sisterly camaraderie a refreshing change from the clichéd myths about women being at loggerheads with each other? We love to see women supporting each other!
