Unbeaten super lightweight Brandun Lee (26-0, 22 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Will Madera (17-2-3, 10 KOs). Madera dropped Lee hard in round three with a right hand. Lee recovered took control thereafter. Scores were 98-91 3x.
Unbeaten heavyweight standout Lenier Pero (8-0, 5 KOs) knocked out Joel Caudle (9-7-2, 6 KOs) in the first round.
Undefeated middleweight Fiodor Czerkaszyn (20-0, 13 KOs) halted Gilbert Venegas Jr (11-2, 7 KOs) in round four.
Three-time U.S. Olympian Rau’shee Warren (19-4, 5 KOs) LOST a six round decision to journeyman bantamweight Francisco Portillo (18-11-2, 10 KOs).
WBA #3 super lightweight Ismael Barroso (24-3-2, 22 KOs) stopped Fernando David Saucedo (63-10-3, 10 KOs) in round four.
Unbeaten light heavyweight Atif Oberlton (6-0, 5 KOs) went the distance for the first time, defeating Robert Burwell (9-7, 3 KOs) over six by scores of 60-54, 60-54, 59-55.
End of the line Mr. Warren. Portillo probably did him a favor. He was ranked #1 for one of Inoue’s titles.
Makes me wonder if Warren didn’t fight too long as an amateur?
Maybe. I think inactivity probably caught up to him as well.
Right Inoue would’ve knocked him out cold inside 2 rounds !
Watched Warren as an amateur for years! Dominated the game as an amateur, but never realized his potential as a pro! End of the line Nuke!! Not impressed with Lee!! Will never become champ! Trust me….
Figueroa looked like an amateur tonight. He was constantly throwing punches while he was still walking in so his feet were never set. Arm punches will never win fights in the pros unless you are George Foreman.
Broner dropping out was a tough break. He went from thinking he was fighting a guy that only throws 10 punches a round and tries to stink out a bad decision to fighting a human wrecking ball. You couldn’t find two more different fighters than Broner and Lipinets.
Agree 100 percent on this comment !
Lipinets beat Figueroa with such ease i wonder how or if Omar was well prepared for a fight whoever the opponent was..
I didn’t like the way Brandun Lee aproached the fight it seems as he thought it was an easy fight, he showed one weakness, he has a poor defense.
Broner the sissy will never fight again.
Good win for Lee, who got dropped hard, and came back to dominate.
Wow what happened to Rau’shee Warren ?! Unbelievable..
Sorry to see you exit the boxing stage Omar Figueroa Jr. but in boxing, perhaps more than any other sport, when a fighter talks retirement it is always the right decision. Your star shone brightly for a moment and the fans will remember. All the best in your future.
