Janhvi Kapoor was told to be ‘calculative’ to succeed in Bollywood: Post more about work & less about parties – PINKVILLA

Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most promising newbies in the tinsel town who has a massive social media presence. She made her acting debut in 2018 with Shashank Khaitan's romantic drama film, Dhadak, alongside Ishaan Khatter, which was a commercial success and she has not looked back ever since. She enjoys a massive fan following on social media and often shares her pictures and videos with her fans and keeps them updated with her life events.
In the latest interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Janhvi says she was told to be ‘calculative’ to succeed in Bollywood. “I’ve been told that being calculative is necessary, maintaining a certain image is necessary. Like, ‘Don’t be seen like this, don’t be seen so easily, cater an image, focus on PR, put a little more on social media about work so that it doesn’t seem like you’re only doing yoga and partying and eating food’. But when I’m on set, I’m thinking about the scene, the work, the location, how am I going to take a picture then?”
Further, she added that there is some balance that every actor has to strike and they tell me to be more committed to promotions. "I can’t, I really can’t… It’s not bad advice, it works for some people. But it’s not who I am, so even if I try to do this it’ll feel wrong," Janhvi said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi is currently in Poland as she is busy filming for Bawaal alongside Varun Dhawan, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Next, she will be seen in Sidharth Sengupta's Good Luck Jerry and also has Mr And Mrs Mahi alongside Rajkummar Rao. Next, Janhvi will star in her father Boney Kapoor's production Mili, a remake of Helen, which will feature Sunny Kaushal in the lead role.
