Black Adam and Dr. Fate go into battle.
New images from DC’s upcoming Black Adam show Dwayne Johnson and Pierce Brosnan shooting scenes for the movie.
Black Adam follows Dwayne Johnson’s Teth-Adam, an ancient Egyptian slave granted superhuman powers by the wizard Shazam. When he re-emerges in the present day, Black Adam encounters the Justice Society of America and must choose between being a hero or a villain.
Alongside Johnson, the film features former Bond star Pierce Brosnan, who appears as Dr. Fate amidst the ranks of the JSA.
Total Film has released new images from Black Adam, including behind-the-scenes looks at Dwayne Johnson and Pierce Brosnan shooting scenes for the movie, alongside stills featuring Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell’s Cyclone.

The images see Dwayne Johnson standing before the destruction his almighty Black Adam has wrought. Brosnan is looking suave, holding his Helmet of Fate, which grants its wearer incredible godlike power.
Star Dwayne Johnson has promised Black Adam will have a lasting impact on the future of the DC Universe. With Warner Bros. Discovery currently looking to implement a brand new 10-year plan for the future of DC, Black Adam could well have a central role to play.
Dwayne Johnson recently revealed the first version of the script for Shazam! featured Black Adam’s origin alongside Shazam’s. If Black Adam is well received, it’s possible DC fans will still get to see these two legendary enemies face off against one another some time after Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Here is the synopsis for Black Adam:
“Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.”
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a script written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, the DCEU film stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.
Black Adam opens in theaters on October 21, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more original video content.
