The hist0ry-making monarch died at age 96 after reigning over England for more than 70 years. From ruling alongside Winston Churchill to ushering in the 21st century, Queen Elizabeth II has become an iconic figure since taking over the throne in 1952 after serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War II. Over the years, numerous actresses have taken on the role of Queen Elizabeth II for both the small and big screens. From Netflix’s viral hit series “The Crown” to Academy Award-winning film “The King’s Speech,” Queen Elizabeth II has been portrayed in over 100 films and TV shows.
