Called a “face genius” for his charismatic looks, Eun-woo last visited the Philippines in October 2019 for his first meeting with Pinoy fans.
“Yes, it’s been a while since I came here, so we tried our best to really prepare a show where you can come and have fun, and enjoy yourselves,” the 25-year-old star said in a press conference ahead of his fan meeting.
The event kicked off with screams from the audience as the lights dimmed. Eun-woo–whose birth name is Lee Dong-min–greeted the audience in Filipino, “Magandang gabi, na-miss ko kayo (Good evening, I’ve missed you all),” and began with a performance of his hit song, “First Love.”
The fan meet was packed with his performances, games, and reenactment of scenes from famous K-dramas he has starred in.
Apart from his idol status as a member of K-pop group ASTRO, Eun-woo is a beloved K-drama actor known for his lead roles in “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” “Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung,” and more recently, “True Beauty.”
He has an upcoming K-drama series called “Island,” where he plays a Catholic priest who performs exorcisms.
The event concluded with a surprise video message from Eun-woo’s fans and a final performance of “Love So Fine,” the original soundtrack of True Beauty.
“I’m very happy, because I haven’t seen my Filipino fans in so long… I’m really happy to see you all. Mahal ko kayo (I love you all),” Eun-woo said.
